Great British Spring Clean

We were delighted to team up with Derby City Council a few weeks ago, to take part in the annual Great British Spring Clean, led by Keep Britain Tidy.

The project aims to encourage local people to do their bit to clean up litter in Derby, and by having ‘Enriching Communities’ in our Purpose Statement, we could not wait to offer our services. Staff volunteered to give up an hour or two of their day, to pick up litter around the Pennine site, and the local area, travelling down London Road and beyond, filling up their litter bags.

The equipment was donated by DCC, and we were visited by Rebecca Hudson for a quick Health and Safety brief before the litter pick began.

We thank all staff for volunteering their time and encourage other local businesses to get involved in the annual Great British Spring Clean. You can view a selection of images from the day below.
