We’re proud to share the success of our latest charity challenge at Pennine Healthcare, the CrossTrainathon, held on Tuesday 3rd June, in support of our 2025 charity partner, Safe and Sound.
This year’s event brought colleagues together from all areas of the business for a seven-hour endurance challenge in our reception area. Working in teams, we took to the cross trainers to see who could travel the furthest distance, all while raising money and awareness for children and young people at risk of exploitation.
More than just a fitness challenge, the day was about teamwork, shared values, and coming together to support a cause that really matters.
We were delighted to be joined by representatives from Safe and Sound, who helped raise awareness about the incredible work they do across Derbyshire. They even got involved themselves, adding to the energy and enthusiasm of the day.

At Pennine, we talk a lot about bringing our purpose to life and this event did exactly that. We saw dedication, encouragement, and the true Derby Spirit from everyone involved.

The CrossTrainathon is just one of many fundraising events planned for 2025, and we’re looking forward to continuing our partnership with Safe and Sound in the months ahead.
