We at Pennine are very pleased to announce our collaboration with Pd-m, enabling us to reach our key stone priority of Net-Zero.

As one of the UK’s leading, employee owned, medical manufacturers, we constantly maintain the key values of Protecting Life, Empowering Colleagues, and Enriching Communities.

We are committed to addressing the Net Zero and sustainability challenges set by the NHS and wider health technology community.

This will be done by understanding our baseline metrics to then identify challenges across the business and establish existing and future design and innovation opportunities.

The themes will be wide and encompassing, with the over-arching ambitions to increase our value proposition and maintain high quality standards across product and process.

Pd-m is a design and innovation consultancy with expertise in health technologies and sustainability. With the reality that around 80% of a company’s environmental impact stems from the product, Pd-m has a focus on how process, technology, user insight, and materials can create positive outcomes for business success.

Graeme Cameron, Pennine CEO said,

“Being employee owned, leadership is the core of what we do at Pennine. Moving towards Net Zero is incredibly important for us and now is the time to collectively take action. We are passionate advocates of UK manufacturing, and we see this challenge as a way to set our course for the future and continue to deliver priority to our customers which includes the NHS and patient care”.

Richard Hall, Pd-m CEO added,

“Pennine are a company who are embracing change with complete passion. UK manufacturing has a vital role to play in a sustainable future and to enable this requires agile thinking and bravery. We are incredibly pleased to be working together to show how challenge can be turned into opportunity”.
