Charity Pedalathon for Women’s Work

Yesterday, our reception was kitted out with exercise bikes, industrial fans, and a balloon arch in preparation for our Charity Pedalathon, for Women’s Work, and was organised by our employee council, We Matter.

As our chosen charity for 2023, Women’s Work is an organisation who help vulnerable women and families within our city, providing them essential skills and helping to instill the confidence to truly flourish in life.

We saw the Senior Leadership Team, We Matter, and our Operations Team compete against each other to see which team could cycle the furthest across the day.

It was a very successful event and we are pleased to announce that we received lots of donations of valuable supplies and money to go towards a brilliant cause.

Here are the results…

Team Name Distance Travelled (km)
The Senior Leadership Team 258.42
We Matter 261.36
The Operations Team 249.42

All three teams pedalled hard, but it was the We Matter who came out on top with a whopping 261.36KMs – well done team!

The total KM cycled by our colleagues was an astounding 769km, which covers almost double the length of the Pennine Way trail, the inspiration behind our logo and also company credo.

A huge thank you to Clare from Home Gym Hire who kindly donated the bikes, and also all those staff who took part.

Take a look below to recap on yesterday’s events and check out our Go Fund Me Link which you can still donate to here.
