International Women’s Day 2024

Happy International Women’s Day from all at Pennine Healthcare!

For our colleagues, we celebrated a day early and, as an act of gratitude for our colleagues’ hard work, we put together a mini care package for all women across the company.

With items such as chocolate and warm socks included in the care package, we wanted to encourage relaxation and self-care when reminiscing on the past achievements of women in society.

We recognise the importance of fostering a supportive and inclusive workplace environment and are committed to acknowledging and uplifting the contributions of women in the healthcare industry. But this goes much deeper than just a care package, as seen by some key stats below:

• We have 114 women working for them across our 175-person strong workforce. That means that more than 65% of our employees are women.
• We are committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for women navigating the menopausal journey and have introduced three Menopause Champions dedicated to aid women through this significant life transition.
• We are proud that women also make up half of our Senior Leadership Team.

Our colleagues are important to us, and we are proud to have received some superb feedback from those implicated in yesterdays CSR initiative. We look forward to celebrating our colleagues throughout 2024.
