At Pennine Healthcare, our purpose is clear: protecting life, empowering colleagues, and enriching communities. These purposes guide everything we do, not only within our manufacturing facilities but also out in the community.
Last week, we had the privilege of putting our purposes into action at Pride Park Stadium, where we proudly sponsored Derby County Community Trust’s Community Meals event. The evening, held in Harrison’s Hub, brought people together for warmth, food, and conversation at a time of year when support like this can make a real difference.
It was a humbling and rewarding experience for everyone involved. On what was one of Derby’s coldest evenings so far, the event provided a safe, welcoming space for local people to enjoy a hot meal and connect with others. Seeing the impact of something as simple as a warm plate of food reminded us just how important community initiatives like these are.
Our team of Pennine volunteers joined forces with the Derby County Community Trust staff to help serve meals and chat with attendees, offering a friendly face and a listening ear. It was another example of how collective action can make a meaningful difference within our local community

As an employee-owned business based in the heart of Derby, we are passionate about giving back to the communities that support us. Sponsoring and participating in events like the Community Meals evening reflects our ongoing commitment to enriching lives both inside and outside our organisation.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Derby County Community Trust for hosting such an impactful initiative and to our colleagues who volunteered their time to help make the night a success.
Together, we continue to protect life, empower colleagues, and enrich communities, one act of kindness at a time.
